Ahh Sunday a day of rest....not today at Schmidt's Flowers....getting ready for Thanksgiving so the whole family was in the shop today, cleaning up after the wedding (here's a photo) and preping for Thanksgiving. We are ready!

Wow !! So many lovely flowers at Schmidt's today! We had flowers comming and going all day! Wedding and 90th Birthday this weekend at Schmid't Flowers and the arrival of some of our greenery and flowers for Thanksgiving! Delia is home from college and thank goodness we needed her extra help in the store today! Mindi is back from her sister's wedding in Ohio and we had a wonderful report on the flowers and weather!

Schmidt's Flowers is on the road again this morning! I'm off to do a centerpiece for Thanksgiving with 18 wonderful ladies at Colonial Heritage! If you haven't finished planning your holiday table don't forget the flowers! This afternoon the staff and I will finish the centerpieces for the Stuart wedding. I can't wait for Melissa to see how beautiful everything is that Schmidt's Flowers designed for her special day!

Early day today!!! I'm getting myself  ready for Schmidt's Flowers Design Studio to hit the road!  This morning I'll be doing a hands on design class at Windsor Meade. The ladies and I always have a fun time so I am, as always, looking forward to our time together! Lots of stuff going on in the store today also, The Blooms That Brighten volunteers will be in this afternoon....we will be celebrating the end of our first year after we get our arrangements done for our clients. We have a little surprise in store for them so I can't wait! Then I get to finish my day at a networking event at First Market Bank for Network Willliamsburg....Isn't this a great place to call home!!!!

Here it is folks, I'm trying to get a little bit written in here while I wait for our orders of flowers and supplies to come in from Richmond. It's turning out to be a beautiful morning here in the 'burg...one of those mornings that I usually say "this is why I moved to Williamsburg!". I hope our weather continues on this path for Melissa Stuart's wedding this weekend. Here comes the flowers!

Happy Kindness Day!

What a busy Saturday we had after our big nor'easter! Everyone decided to come out and shop. Many took advantage of our fall sale (by the way this is our last week!) and many we're getting a jump on Christmas.

I had hoped to get my flower order in yesterday for Thanksgiving but with Mindy away at her sister's wedding (hope she had fun!) and Dave and Sydney out at Radford visiting Delia and being unusually busy it had to wait until today.
